The McKern Foundation is pleased to announce their new Fresh Fruit Program Ambassador Cassidy McLean.
Cassidy is making positive change in the Bendigo community in more ways than one. She is an elite basketball player who you may recognise from Bendigo Braves or Bendigo Spirit. She also recently won the Bendigo Business Excellence Award for Young Professional of the Year, running a social media company who flexibly employs female athletes.
McKern Foundation were looking to have an ambassador to promote the program in schools, and help influence and educate our younger generation on the importance of healthy eating and active lifestyles.
Through the existing partnership with Bendigo Braves and Red Energy Arena, Cassidy has come on board as the ambassador in what is a perfect fit for all involved.
This exciting development in the program aligns McKern Foundation’s and Cassidy’s dedication to making a difference in the Bendigo community, as well as providing a promising step towards improving access to fresh, healthy food for children who may not have access to it at home.
